About Tyson

Tyson Stanek built a legal path that begins in technology and leads to private practice. He earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Texas Christian University in 1996. He then turned to law and received a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2006.

After law school, Stanek launched his own practice. He has been the owner of The Stanek Law Office, PLLC since 2006. That decision put him in the role of principal attorney from the outset. Running a solo firm meant handling everything from client intake to motion practice and court appearances. It also required juggling the administrative tasks that come with managing a small law office.

Stanek’s professional memberships trace a steady engagement with the local legal community. He joined the Oklahoma Bar Association in 2006 and has maintained that membership. He is also a member of the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, a membership he began in 2007. Within the county bar, he is listed as President-Elect of the Cleveland County Bar Association. Those affiliations place him in regular contact with peers across practice areas and court levels.

He is admitted to practice in Oklahoma and is admitted to the Federal Circuit. That combination allows him to appear in state courts and handle matters that reach or originate in certain federal appellate forums. His work at the firm has included litigation and courtroom work, reflecting the demands of both trial practice and appellate procedure.

Colleagues and clients encounter a lawyer who stays engaged on multiple fronts. He manages ongoing caseloads at his firm while participating in bar association activities. He has navigated the administrative side of practice for two decades, keeping a small firm running while addressing the legal questions presented by clients.

The Stanek Law Office, PLLC serves as the base for his legal work. The firm handles matters in state and federal court and draws on Stanek’s courtroom experience and bar involvement. He continues to maintain an active practice in Oklahoma and in matters that require Federal Circuit admission, where his work includes criminal defense-related issues and other court proceedings.

He currently practices through The Stanek Law Office, PLLC, handling state and federal cases, including criminal defense matters.
