About Tyler

Tyler Young is a personal injury attorney based in Provo, Utah. Since 2006, he has focused his practice on cases involving auto accidents, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. As a partner at Young, Kester, Black & Jube, Tyler has helped the firm earn a reputation for its unwavering dedication to client advocacy. His legal journey began after earning a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2006. Prior to this achievement, he completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Utah in 2002, laying a solid educational foundation for his future career. Tyler's legal career commenced in Utah, where he joined his father's law practice, Young & Young.

This experience provided him with invaluable insights into the legal field and allowed him to contribute to the firm’s growth and success. Over the years, he has developed a strong track record in personal injury litigation. Notably, in a landmark case, he secured a $27 million settlement in a Greyhound bus accident case, marking one of the largest settlements in Utah's history. His trial skills and commitment to justice have garnered him recognition, including being selected as one of the National Trial Lawyers' Top 40 Under 40 in 2012. In addition to his litigation work, Tyler has actively participated in the Utah State Bar. He has served as a Bar Commissioner and has been involved in various committees, including the Ethics Advisory Opinion Committee and the Admissions Committee.

His leadership skills were recognized in 2025 when he was elected as President-Elect of the Utah State Bar. He will hold this position during the 2025–2026 year before assuming the role of President in 2026–2027. This leadership role shows his commitment to the legal profession and the community. Tyler is also a managing board member of the Utah Association for Justice, formerly known as the Utah Trial Lawyers Association. In this capacity, he contributes to the Amicus Committee and other initiatives designed to promote individual rights and access to justice. His involvement in these organizations reflects his dedication to improving the legal field in Utah and advocating for the rights of individuals.

Outside of his legal practice, Tyler is deeply committed to community service. He served as president of the Springville Rotary Club from 2011 to 2012, where he worked on various community initiatives. Additionally, he has been involved in coaching high school baseball, sharing his focus on the sport with young athletes. An avid bow hunter and a successful small business owner, Tyler balances his professional commitments with personal interests, demonstrating a well-rounded approach to both his career and community engagement.
