About Tyler Scott

Tyler Scott Davis completed his legal education at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2015 after beginning studies in 2012. He entered the legal profession soon after graduation and established the path that would take him from associate to firm owner in just a few years. The law school years grounded him in legal research and courtroom procedure, and they set the stage for his early practice in Tennessee.

Davis began his professional career in 2015 as an associate at Rocco & Griffin, PLLC. He spent the formative years of his practice there, gaining hands-on experience in firm-based representation. In 2017 he became a partner at Griffin & Davis, PLLC, a move that expanded his responsibilities to include case strategy, client counseling, and firm management. Those roles provided a close view of the business side of running a law office as well as the daily demands of client work.

In 2020 Davis launched Davis Law Office and took on the role of owner. Opening his own practice marked a transition from firm partnership to independent practice management. He has overseen the office’s development, handled intake and client relations, and directed casework. The shift allowed him to shape the office’s operations and the services it provides to clients in the region.

Davis is licensed to practice in Tennessee and holds memberships in federal courts in the state. He has been admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee since 2016 and to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee since 2018. Those admissions permit him to represent clients in federal matters across both districts and reflect an interest in matters that reach beyond state court boundaries.

His record traces a steady progression from law school to solo practice. He has moved through associate and partner roles and now runs his own firm in Tennessee. Davis maintains active memberships in the federal district courts serving the Middle and Eastern Districts of Tennessee and focuses his current practice on representing clients in matters arising in the state and in those federal courts.
