About Tyler Nathaniel
Tyler Nathaniel Wilson built a path from campus newsrooms to courtroom support roles and now to practicing law in Texas. He combines an undergraduate grounding in international relations with a law degree earned in San Antonio. The arc of his career shows steady movement into positions of greater responsibility.
Wilson completed a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations at the University of San Diego in 2008. He stayed in San Diego for law school and earned his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2013. While in school he took on research and editorial tasks that complemented classroom study and introduced him to legal scholarship and practice.
During his undergraduate years and shortly thereafter, Wilson worked in a range of entry-level and internship positions that exposed him to government, media and operations. He served as a district intern for Representative Joe Farias in the Texas House of Representatives, worked as an operations assistant at the Kroc School, and contributed to campus publications as an associate editor and sports editor. These early roles built his practical skills in communication and project coordination.
Law school brought more focused legal work. Wilson held a dean’s research fellowship in 2015 at St. Mary’s University and completed law clerk assignments at several firms, including McKamie Krueger, LLP and Phipps Anderson Deacon LLP. He also worked with Family Violence Prevention Services and interned at NPPA IMAGES, gaining exposure to litigation support, client intake and issues that frequently arise in domestic and civil matters.
After graduation he moved between roles that combined compliance, operations and legal responsibilities. In 2016 he worked as a compliance analyst at FIS and took a legal clerk position the same year. The following year he served as a legal operations specialist at Mpower Healthcare. These positions added corporate compliance and process experience to his resume and widened the kinds of matters he could handle.
Wilson returned to law practice in more senior attorney roles. In 2019 he was an associate lawyer and team leader at Daspit Law Office. In 2022 he joined Flores & Pelaez-Prada, PLLC as an associate lawyer. His career shows transitions between litigation support, compliance work and direct client representation.
Licensed to practice in Texas, Wilson now works at Flores & Pelaez-Prada, PLLC, where his practice draws on his background in clerkships, compliance work and law firm litigation support. He focuses his work on matters handled through the firm’s Texas office.
