About Tyler Levy
Tyler Levy Sniff came to law from a science background. He earned a B.S. in physics from Furman University in 2006 and completed his J.D. at The George Washington University Law School in 2010. That combination shaped an approach to legal problems that values technical detail and close analysis.
Early in his career he sought courtroom and agency experience. In 2011 he served as a judicial intern for The Honorable John R. Adams of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. The following year he worked as a law clerk for Meyer Glitzenstein & Crystal and took on internships that placed him inside regulatory agencies: the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Courts Section, where he volunteered as a legal intern. He then spent a year as a Wildlife Lawyer Fellow at the Animal Welfare Institute in 2013, gaining exposure to conservation and animal protection matters.
After law school and those formative posts, Sniff moved into private practice. In 2014 he joined Stack & Associates, P.C. as an associate. His time there involved litigation and regulatory work for clients who needed counsel on environmental and related issues. The role brought together his courtroom experience and administrative agency knowledge.
In 2020 he transitioned to public service as an Associate Regional Counsel at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The position placed him on the advising side of federal environmental programs, handling matters that ranged from enforcement questions to interpretations of administrative rules. His record includes representation and counsel in matters that required coordination with state and federal officials.
Sniff is admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions, including Georgia, the 11th Circuit, Maryland, New Jersey and the District of Columbia. That multi-jurisdictional admission has allowed him to work on federal and state matters across several circuits and to engage in appeals and agency proceedings when circumstances required.
Across his roles he has combined agency-side work, litigation experience and a background in science. He has been involved in cases and projects that touch on environmental regulation, administrative law and wildlife protection. As of the latest available information, he practices environmental and regulatory law at the federal level, handling enforcement, compliance and litigation matters.
