About Tyler G.

Tyler G. Puttick studied history as an undergraduate before turning to law. He earned a B.A. in History from the University of Florida in 2011. He then attended Stetson University College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2014.

After law school he built a practice in Indian River County and across Florida. He is admitted to the Florida bar and has been active in several local professional groups since the mid-2010s. His memberships include the Indian River Estate Planning Council and the Planned Giving Council of Indian River County, both of which he joined in 2015. He also belongs to the Indian River County Bar Association and has maintained relationships with multiple title insurance underwriters as an agent since 2015.

Puttick’s work crosses a few different areas of law. He handles estate planning matters, assists with charitable and planned giving arrangements, and works on real estate and title matters. That combination reflects both his bar memberships and his agent relationships with title insurers such as Lawyer’s Title Insurance Fund, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, and WFG National Title Insurance Company. He is also a Florida notary public, a credential he has held since 2015.

Colleagues describe him as steady and practical in client meetings. He tends to break complex documents into plain language, and he focuses on reducing friction in transactions. He spends time drafting wills and trusts, preparing documents for planned gifts, and completing title-related work that often requires coordination with insurers and lenders. He works regularly with local nonprofit organizations on gift planning and with families on succession matters.

Puttick’s professional path has been rooted in community institutions. He joined local boards and councils early in his career and has kept those ties. That local engagement informs his practice. It also keeps him connected to referral sources and to civic leaders who deal with nonprofits and land use matters.

He practices at Rossway Swan Tierney Barry Lacey & Oliver, P.L., where he handles estate planning, title services, and charitable giving matters. His current practice centers on estate planning, real estate title work, and planned giving transactions.
