About Tyler B

Tyler B Talbert built his legal foundation at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2013. He arrived in the profession at a time when federal and appellate work were increasingly prominent, and his training reflected that environment. Classroom study, moot court and clinical experience shaped his early approach to litigation and legal writing.

After law school Talbert entered private practice. Over the years he has handled matters that required appearances in both state and federal forums. He is admitted to practice in Texas and is authorized to appear before the Federal Circuit and the Fifth Circuit. He also maintains membership in the State Bar of Texas.

Talbert's courtroom work includes drafting appellate briefs, preparing filings in federal courts, and handling procedural aspects of complex litigation. He works through the layered process of trial record development and appellate strategy. He is comfortable handling the written and oral advocacy that appellate matters demand.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing legal arguments. He prioritizes precise briefing and careful review of the record. That approach matters when an appeal turns on a narrow legal question or on ensuring that trial court rulings are preserved for review.

At Scanes & Routh, LLP, Talbert contributes to a practice that regularly addresses federal and state litigation issues. He collaborates with other lawyers on case management, procedural disputes and appellate filings. His work often involves coordinating with trial counsel to assemble the records and arguments necessary for successful appellate presentation.

Outside the office Talbert participates in professional activities related to the State Bar of Texas. He stays current on developments in federal appellate procedure and in the Fifth Circuit's evolving jurisprudence. That attention helps inform how he frames issues for higher courts.

He currently practices at Scanes & Routh, LLP. His current practice focuses on appellate and federal court litigation.
