About Trudy Lynn
Trudy Lynn Bloodworth built a foundation in public affairs before entering the law. She earned a B.A. in Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma in 1990 and later pursued studies in Regional and City Planning there, completing that program in 1994. She went on to obtain her J.D. from Nashville School of Law in 1999. Those academic steps tied public policy and planning to legal study early in her career.
Early on, Bloodworth gained experience inside the appellate system. In 1998 she served as a law clerk to the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. That role exposed her to appellate briefs, record review and the mechanics of decisions issued by an intermediate appellate court. The clerkship preceded her entry into practice and remains a noted point on her résumé.
After completing her legal education, Bloodworth moved into private practice in Tennessee. She has practiced under the name Bloodworth Law Office. Her work has kept her engaged with the demands of courtroom procedure and the drafting required by contested matters. Over time she has applied the research and writing skills developed in the appellate setting to the needs of clients in trial and post-trial contexts.
Bloodworth’s earlier academic focus on public administration and city planning informs how she approaches problems that touch municipal processes and local government decision-making. That background gives her a perspective on the intersection of law, regulation and planning. It also shapes how she evaluates factual records and administrative materials when they are central to a client’s case.
Colleagues and clients describe her approach as methodical. She tends to work through issues by organizing the record, identifying legal levers and preparing arguments for different procedural stages. Her appellate experience remains part of the toolkit she brings to matters that may move beyond the trial court.
She maintains her practice in Tennessee under the Bloodworth Law Office name and continues to represent clients in matters that proceed through the state court system. Her current practice centers on serving clients in Tennessee courts through the Bloodworth Law Office.
