About Tristan L
Tristan L Younghaus built his legal foundation on two campuses: the University of Colorado Boulder and Thomas Jefferson School of Law. He earned a B.S. in International Affairs from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2006. He went on to receive his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2012. At law school he studied a range of subjects that included wills and probate, international law, import/export regulation, and immigration.
He is licensed to practice law in California. After completing his formal education he settled into a practice that draws on both domestic estate matters and international legal themes. His undergraduate focus on international affairs laid the groundwork for work that frequently crosses borders. He has combined that background with training in trust and estate subjects learned in law school.
His work covers estate planning and probate administration. He also handles matters that touch on international law, including import and export issues and immigration-related questions. That mix leads to cases where estate work and cross-border regulatory problems intersect. He approaches those files by parsing local probate rules alongside the international or federal requirements that apply.
Outside of his day-to-day practice he has been active in professional and civic organizations in the San Diego area. He joined the San Diego County Bar Association in 2013 and has maintained that membership. He has also been a member of the San Diego Junior League since 2014. Those ties provide access to a local professional network and community groups that often refer practical problems to a small firm setting.
He practices at Coastal Pacific Law. At the firm he handles client matters that range from drafting wills and estate documents to managing probate estates. He also takes on legal questions that involve cross-border commerce or immigration regulation, applying both state and international legal concepts when needed. His current practice focuses on estate planning, probate administration, and cross-border matters involving import/export and immigration.
