About Trista W.
Trista W. McConell built a legal foundation at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and Brooklyn Law School. Her undergraduate studies at John Jay introduced her to the structure of the criminal justice system. At Brooklyn Law School she completed her J.D., preparing for practice in both state and federal courts.
She began work at Rich, Intelisano & Katz, LLP in 2011. Early on she focused on courtroom procedure and client representation. Those years in practice shaped her approach to litigation. She learned to manage case schedules, draft motions and present arguments under pressure.
McConell is admitted to the New York bar and holds admission to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Those admissions allow her to appear in trial and appellate settings across a broad range of matters. Colleagues describe her as steady in court and exacting in preparation.
Her professional affiliations include active membership in the New York State Bar and the New York City Bar Association. She participates in association activities and attends continuing legal education to stay current on procedural and substantive developments. That involvement keeps her connected to the broader legal community in New York.
Across matters she has handled, McConell has balanced courtroom work with client counseling. She approaches each file by assessing the client’s position, developing strategy and then carrying that strategy through motion practice or trial. Her filings reflect attention to detail and a practical sense of how to present facts and law to judges and opposing counsel.
Today she is based at Rich, Intelisano & Katz, LLP. She continues to represent clients in state and federal courts, bringing years of courtroom experience to each case. Her current practice centers on litigation and court representation in New York’s state and federal systems.
