Trevor Michael Codington is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2007. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Codington is a partner at Reidy Law Group, LLP, a law firm located in St. Helena, California. He has been practicing law for over 18 years, serving clients throughout the Napa Valley region.
Mr. Codington earned his Juris Doctor degree from the UCLA School of Law in 2006. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at San Diego State University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree. During his time at UCLA, he was involved in various legal clinics and externships, gaining practical experience in transactional law.
Mr. Codington concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, real estate law, and finance law. He represents real estate owners, developers, and investors in transactions ranging from management and disposition to acquisition and development. His work includes drafting and negotiating construction contracts, purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, easement agreements, vineyard leases, and other documents related to real estate. Additionally, he provides counseling to clients on corporate issues from formation to ownership to disposition and handles commercial contracts for corporate clients. He also has significant experience in finance matters, having represented multiple banks and institutional lenders as outside counsel.
Throughout his career, Mr. Codington has handled cases in various courts, including the Superior Court of California for the County of Napa and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Before joining Reidy Law Group, he worked at Cox, Castle & Nicholson in San Francisco and Abbey, Weitzenberg, Warren & Emery in Santa Rosa. His extensive experience in transactional law has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of the legal and business landscapes in the region.
Mr. Codington is an active member of the California State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Napa County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He frequently participates in continuing legal education programs to stay updated on developments in business and real estate law. In addition to his professional activities, he is involved in local community organizations and serves on the board of a nonprofit dedicated to supporting affordable housing initiatives in Napa County.
