About Trenton
Trenton Grand has spent more than three decades practicing law in Louisiana. He built a private practice and sustained ties to local lenders, real estate professionals and courts. Colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic in handling transactional and bankruptcy matters.
He grew up studying politics and law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rhodes College before returning to the state to receive his J.D. from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Those early years set the stage for a career centered on property and consumer finance law in Louisiana.
After passing into practice, Grand established his own firm. In 1995 he opened Grand Law Office and has operated it since, maintaining offices in Baton Rouge and Metairie. Running his own practice has required him to manage both the legal work and the business side of a small firm. Over time his practice model allowed him to work directly with lenders, title professionals and real estate agents across the region.
He has kept active in professional associations. He joined the American Bar Association in 1992 and the Baton Rouge Bar Association in 1994. Two years later he became a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers and the Louisiana Land Title Association. He has also been involved with the Greater Baton Rouge Board of Realtors since 1998 and the Louisiana Mortgage Lenders Association since 2000. Those memberships reflect ongoing connections to groups that intersect with real estate financing and consumer insolvency.
The work in his offices covers a range of transactions and proceedings. He handles closings, prepares and reviews mortgage and loan documents, and addresses title issues. He also represents individuals in consumer bankruptcy filings and related hearings. That mixture of transactional and debtor-side work requires attention to documentation, deadlines and court procedures in Louisiana's federal and state systems.
Clients and peers note that Grand brings practical experience to routine and complex matters. He has kept the practice local while engaging with statewide professional organizations. He currently focuses on residential and commercial real estate transactions, mortgage and title matters, and consumer bankruptcy representation in Louisiana.
