About Trejur P.

Trejur P. Bordenave earned his Juris Doctor from Chapman University Fowler School of Law in 2014. He completed his legal studies after several years of coursework and clinical training that shaped his approach to client work. The law school years established the foundation for a practical practice style and an interest in problem-solving under pressure.

After law school, Bordenave moved into private practice. He joined Hew and Bordenave, LLP, where he has been involved in day-to-day client matters and firm operations. Colleagues describe him as methodical in his preparation and direct in his courtroom presentations. He has handled a mix of transactional and contested matters, often managing files from intake through resolution.

Bordenave maintains memberships in professional associations and participates in local legal networks. He uses those memberships to stay current on procedural changes and emerging case law. That engagement informs how he frames legal strategy and advises clients about realistic outcomes.

His work tends to combine research, negotiation, and practical problem solving. He prepares filings, negotiates settlements, and appears in hearings as needed. He pays attention to evidentiary details and to the logistics that can determine whether a case moves quickly or stalls. When a matter requires outside expertise, he coordinates with specialists and expert witnesses to assemble a complete case presentation.

Clients and peers note his plainspoken approach. He explains options in straightforward terms and outlines the likely steps ahead. That clarity helps clients decide how to proceed when the stakes are uncertain. He also emphasizes deadlines and documentation, aiming to keep files organized and client expectations aligned with legal realities.

Outside the office he contributes time to professional gatherings and continuing legal education programs. Those activities feed back into his practice, sharpening tactics and exposing him to different perspectives from other practitioners. He continues to build a practice that balances client service with the operational demands of running a small firm.

He currently practices at Hew and Bordenave, LLP, representing clients in a range of matters.
