About Tracy
Tracy Allen began her professional journey in the Midwest. She earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Michigan before moving on to Wayne State University Law School, where she completed both a J.D. and an LL.M. in Taxation. Her academic path laid a clear foundation for a career that bridges law, dispute resolution, and legal education.
After law school, Allen built a practice that spans federal and state courts as well as specialized tax fora. She is admitted to practice in Michigan and in the U.S. District Courts located there. Her admissions also include the U.S. Tax Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. She has held membership in the Michigan State Bar since 1980 and maintains active standing.
Allen’s career mixes courtroom knowledge with classroom work. She has served as a Distinguished Professor of Conflict Management at Lipscomb University, where she taught courses that address negotiation and dispute resolution techniques. She has also been an adjunct professor at Pepperdine School of Law’s Straus Institute, contributing to the institute’s programs in mediation and dispute resolution.
In private practice Allen is a lawyer at Global Resolutions, PLLC. Her role at the firm centers on resolving complex disputes, often involving tax, commercial, and procedural questions that touch both state and federal systems. She brings an analytical approach to cases that require navigation of statutory and administrative frameworks.
Allen holds a certification as a mediator through Mediate.com. That credential supports her work in settlement meetings and structured negotiation sessions. Colleagues and clients have turned to her for mediator services in matters where a neutral, legally informed facilitator is needed.
She also participates in judicial-administrative work. Allen serves as an advisor to the Michigan Supreme Court State Court Administrative Office. In that capacity she has consulted on projects that affect court administration and dispute resolution practices across the state.
Her professional life balances teaching, mediation, and litigation. She continues to teach and accept mediation assignments while practicing at Global Resolutions, PLLC. Allen’s work remains centered on resolving disputes efficiently and advising clients on practical legal options.
