About Tracie L.
Tracie L. Morgan earned a B.A. in English from the University of Kansas in 1997 and an M.A. in International Studies from the same institution in 2001. She completed her legal education at Georgia State University College of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2005. Those academic stops shaped her interest in cross-border issues and immigrant rights.
After law school, Morgan moved into practice that combined litigation and administrative work. She served as a law clerk at Socheat Chea, P.C. in 2007 and later returned there as an associate attorney in 2009. Earlier in her career she worked outside the law in international education, serving as International Programs Manager at Kaplan Test Prep & Admissions in 2004.
In 2012 she opened Klinke Immigration, LLC and operates the firm as lawyer and owner. Her courtroom and administrative admissions include the State of Georgia, the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Her practice has spanned asylum claims, family-based petitions, and special immigrant categories, alongside appeals and federal filings.
Morgan has been active in professional organizations for more than a decade. She has held multiple leadership posts in the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Georgia-Alabama chapter, including chair (2017–2018), first vice chair (2016–2017), and treasurer (2013–2014). At the national level she served on AILA committees related to USCIS field operations and on the National VAWA, T, and U Committee. She was also a member of AILA’s Board of Governors from 2013 to 2015 and participated in the National Steering Committee for the New Division.
Outside AILA, Morgan has worked with regional and community groups. She has been part of the Georgia Asylum & Immigration Network (GAIN) in various roles, including chair (2015–2016), vice chair (2014–2015), and secretary on its board. She sits on the board of Caminar Latino and has been involved in local efforts such as the Cobb County Domestic Violence Task Force and the Cobb County Bar Association. Her commitments extend to mentoring law students and contributing to community scholarship efforts.
Her record shows steady engagement in systems that affect immigrant clients: administrative filings, court appeals, community-based services, and bar leadership. At Klinke Immigration, LLC she continues to represent clients in immigration matters, concentrating on asylum, VAWA and T and U visa cases, family-based petitions, and related appellate work.
