Tracia Lee is a Special Counsel at Kean Miller LLP in Houston, Texas, with over 20 years of experience in civil litigation and appellate law. She joined the Texas State Bar in 1999. During her time at UT Austin, she was involved with the Kappa Delta Sorority and the Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity. Throughout her career, Ms. Lee has represented both businesses and individuals at every stage of the appellate process, handling cases throughout Texas and in federal courts. She collaborates with trial attorneys on litigation strategy and manages pretrial motions to prepare cases for trial and appeal. Her practice areas include employment law, insurance coverage, probate, and personal injury.
She is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Western Districts of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. In recognition of her professional achievements, Ms. Lee has been AV Preeminent-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and named a "Top Attorney" in Appellate Law by Austin Monthly. She has also been selected to the Texas Super Lawyers list for 2024 and 2025.
Ms. Lee is an active member of the Austin Bar Association and the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit. She is also a member of the Texas State Bar's Civil Litigation and Appellate Sections. Before joining Kean Miller LLP, Ms. Lee operated her own practice, Tracia Y — Lee, P.L.L.C., in Austin, Texas. She has also been involved in various legal publications, including an article titled "Think Like an Employment Lawyer: An Interactive Discussion Of 10 Real Life Workplace Scenarios in Texas," published by Lorman Education Services in 2006.
