About Tracey

Tracey McNamara pursued an undergraduate degree in international business at Assumption College, graduating in 2005, and added a minor in psychology. She went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Massachusetts School of Law, completing her legal studies in 2014. Those two stages of formal education shaped the practical and analytical tools she brings to her work.

Her undergraduate study of international business gave her a grounding in commercial principles and cross-border considerations. The psychology minor supplied an added dimension: an awareness of human behavior that often proves useful in client interviews, negotiations, and courtroom settings. Law school followed. There, McNamara translated classroom theory into lawyerly skills, refining legal research, writing and courtroom advocacy.

McNamara is licensed to practice in Massachusetts. She has kept an active connection to the state's legal community. That connection includes current membership in professional associations, where she engages with peers and follows developments affecting local practice. She has worked in Massachusetts courts and forums, applying her academic training to real-world disputes and transactions.

Her career path has not been defined by a single institutional title listed here, but by steady engagement in the legal system of the Commonwealth. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing for hearings and careful in managing case files. Clients have encountered an attorney who communicates directly and who sees cases through their procedural stages. She balances written work—briefs, motions and client correspondence—with oral advocacy when circumstances require it.

Outside of file work, McNamara has maintained ties to the networks that underpin local practice. That includes participating in continuing legal education and keeping current with changes in Massachusetts law. Those activities help ensure the technical work of litigation or transactional matters reflects recent precedents and statutory updates.

In practice she draws on the combination of business training and legal education to address her clients’ needs. Her background in international business can inform commercial questions. Her psychological insight can aid negotiation strategies and client counseling. She currently focuses her practice on serving clients in Massachusetts.
