About Tracey D.
Tracey D. Lewis charted a steady legal path from undergraduate classrooms to courtroom dockets. She earned a B.A. from Seton Hall University in 2008, majoring in English and taking Business Management as a minor. Three years later she received her J.D. from the UDC David A. Clarke School of Law. Those academic years shaped the skills she still uses: close reading, clear writing and attention to detail.
After law school she established a practice that crosses state lines and federal circuits. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Texas, and she holds admission to the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas. She has held membership in the State Bar of New Jersey and the State Bar of New York since 2012. In 2014 she joined the State Bar of Texas and became active in the Houston Young Lawyers Association.
Her professional resume lists a steady progression to partnership. In 2022 she became a partner at Leeds Law Office, PLLC. That move marked a shift from early-career litigation work to a leadership role within the firm. As a partner she handles case strategy, client counsel and courtroom matters. She also contributes to the firm’s decision-making on case intake and management.
Colleagues describe her approach as direct and methodical. She prepares filings, examines records and argues motions in state and federal forums. Her courtroom presence is concise. She prefers to let the record speak, whether in brief or at hearing. Her work requires navigating procedural rules across multiple jurisdictions, and she routinely files matters in federal district courts in Texas.
Outside of firm duties she has maintained steady ties to bar organizations. Her continuous memberships in the State Bars of New Jersey, New York and Texas reflect an ongoing engagement with licensure and professional standards. The Houston Young Lawyers Association has been part of her professional circle since 2014, offering connections to peers in the Houston legal community.
She currently practices at Leeds Law Office, PLLC, where she manages litigation and court matters in state and federal courts across the jurisdictions where she is admitted.
