About Tony
Tony Piccuta built his legal path on a mix of technical training and courtroom work. He earned a Bachelor of Science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2001, where he studied industrial technology and took minors in business and psychology. He later received a J.D. from Indiana University Bloomington in 2006. Those degrees shaped an approach that blends practical problem solving with courtroom procedure.
He began practicing law the year he graduated from law school, joining Strellis & Field in 2006. Early in his career he handled case work that took him into hearings and settlement negotiations. In 2008 he moved into a management position at Houser & Allison, APC, where he oversaw case teams and handled more complex litigation matters. The managing role expanded his responsibilities beyond individual casework to running aspects of a law office and mentoring junior attorneys.
Piccuta eventually started his own firm. He is the founder and lead trial lawyer at Scottsdale Injury Lawyers, LLC. As founder he has guided the firm’s strategy and handled trials and pretrial litigation. He has frequently taken cases to jury trials and other contested hearings, and he focuses on getting preparedness and courtroom presentation right.
He is admitted to practice in multiple state and federal jurisdictions. Those admissions include California, Arizona, Nevada and Illinois, and he is admitted in the Ninth Circuit. The multi-jurisdictional practice allows him to pursue matters across state lines when needed and to appear in federal court when cases raise federal issues.
His professional memberships reflect the kinds of cases he pursues. He holds current memberships in the Arizona Association for Justice, the National Police Accountability Project, the American Association for Justice, and the Consumer Attorneys of California. He is also a member of the state bars in California, Nevada, Illinois and Arizona. Those affiliations connect him to networks of trial lawyers and to resources used in complex litigation.
Colleagues and opposing counsel describe him as someone who prepares thoroughly for trial and values direct client communication. He has combined trial work and firm management throughout his career. He currently practices at Scottsdale Injury Lawyers, LLC, where his work centers on personal injury and civil rights litigation.
