About Todd

Todd Wesche built a legal foundation in New England and Washington, D.C. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 1998. He then completed his Juris Doctor at Suffolk University in 2002 and added an LL.M. in Litigation and Dispute Resolution from The George Washington University Law School in 2004. The sequence of degrees shows steady specialization in litigation and appellate techniques.

He moved quickly into work tied to veterans law. In 2004 he served as a senior law clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. That role placed him at the center of appellate review and agency record work. He later joined Goodman, Allen & Filetti as a senior associate in 2008 and handled matters that furthered his experience in administrative and appellate practice.

By 2011 he was a managing lawyer at LaVan & Neidenberg, P.A., where he oversaw case preparation and supervised junior attorneys. Five years later he established his own firm. Since 2017 he has been the owner and managing lawyer of Vetus Legal LLC. The move to private practice consolidated years of courtroom and administrative experience under a single practice banner.

His admissions and jurisdictions reflect the procedural avenues his work follows. He is admitted in Massachusetts and the District of Columbia and is authorized to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also admitted before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and interacts regularly with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Those credentials enable him to handle appeals and agency proceedings for veterans and their families.

Wesche has maintained professional ties to peer groups and trade organizations. He has been a member of the National Organization of Veterans Advocates since 2009. That affiliation places him among attorneys who litigate benefits claims and appeals at both the regional and national level.

Colleagues and clients describe his work in practical terms: preparing records, framing legal issues for appellate review, and presenting oral arguments when cases require it. His practice combines litigation drafting, administrative advocacy, and appellate briefing. He has moved between clerkship and advocacy roles, and that mixture informs how he approaches cases today.

He now manages a practice centered on veterans law, taking appeals and administrative claims to tribunals at the federal and agency levels. He currently practices veterans law, handling appeals and claims before federal and administrative tribunals.
