About Todd

Todd Wachtel earned his law degree from Widener University Delaware School of Law in 1997 after completing undergraduate studies at Syracuse University in 1994. His academic path combined a broad undergraduate education with three years of legal study that prepared him for practice in two neighboring states. The dates on his diplomas mark the start of a legal career spent largely around workplace injury law and the administrative systems that handle those claims.

After law school, Wachtel entered practice in jurisdictions that share similar but distinct approaches to workers’ compensation. Over the years he has worked to understand the rules and procedures that control claims in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. That practical grasp of administrative timelines, medical documentation and evidentiary standards has shaped how he presents cases before hearing officers and boards.

Wachtel is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and holds certification as a Workers’ Compensation attorney from the Supreme Court of New Jersey. That certification authorizes him to represent clients in workers’ compensation proceedings within New Jersey’s system. His work involves preparing petitions and responses, assembling medical records, arranging for medical examinations when necessary, and advocating for clients at hearings.

Colleagues and clients describe his work as steady and procedural. In contested matters he prepares testimony, evaluates medical evidence and addresses procedural defenses. He also assists parties in negotiating settlements when a resolution outside a hearing better serves a client’s needs. He has experience briefing and arguing procedural and evidentiary issues that arise in the course of administrative claims.

Wachtel’s practice reflects the dual-state character of his licenses. He regularly moves between the administrative frameworks of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, advising injured workers and others on benefit entitlement, permanency evaluations, wage-loss calculations and the mechanics of filing and defending claims. He explains procedural options and next steps in plain language so clients understand timelines and potential outcomes. He currently practices in Pennsylvania and New Jersey handling workers’ compensation matters and related benefits disputes.
