About Todd

Todd Laster graduated from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2002. He entered the profession at a time when regional practice was changing, and he built his early years in law around steady, practical work. He kept close ties to Oklahoma, where he has maintained a practice since leaving law school.

After earning his J.D., Laster began practicing in Oklahoma. Public records list him as admitted to practice in that jurisdiction. Over the years he has handled a variety of matters that arise in state court and in transactional contexts. He approaches each file with an eye for the procedural and factual details that determine outcomes.

Laster’s practice has not been limited to a single niche. He has represented individuals and small businesses, and he has worked on matters that required both litigation skill and careful client counseling. That combination has defined much of his day-to-day work. He prepares court filings, negotiates on behalf of clients and manages the practical steps that move cases and deals forward.

Colleagues describe him as practical and exacting in how he prepares work product. He pays attention to deadlines and to the written record. Those habits show up in depositions, briefs and transactional documents. In the courtroom he relies on clear organization and direct presentation. Outside court, he focuses on getting clients the information they need to make decisions.

Laster is an attorney at Shook & Johnson, PLLC. He joined the firm after several years practicing in Oklahoma and continues to base his work there. At the firm he contributes to a caseload made up of matters that reflect the needs of local businesses and residents. He works alongside other attorneys at the firm to handle cases and client matters from opening to resolution.

His training at the University of Tulsa College of Law and his years in practice in Oklahoma inform the way he evaluates risks and options. He continues to practice at Shook & Johnson, PLLC, representing clients in matters arising under Oklahoma law and handling both litigation and transactional work on their behalf.
