Todd Jon Bloomfield is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1991. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Bloomfield is a founding partner at the Law Offices of Rice & Bloomfield, a law firm located in Encino, California. He has been practicing law for over 34 years, serving clients throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
Mr. Bloomfield earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he graduated in 1991. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business/Economics in 1988, graduating cum laude. During his time at USC Gould, he was a member of the Law Review and participated in the school's clinical legal education program.
Mr. Bloomfield concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury law, medical malpractice, and civil litigation. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving car accidents, medical malpractice claims, and general personal injury cases. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Bloomfield has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years.
Mr. Bloomfield is an active member of the California State Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. He is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program. Mr. Bloomfield is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Los Angeles County effectively.
