About Todd
Todd Henningsen graduated from Wake Forest University in 1994 with a B.A. in economics and earned his J.D. from the University of Richmond in 1998. His academic record places him among lawyers who completed substantive legal training at a mid-Atlantic law school before moving into regional practice. Those undergraduate and law degrees framed the early years of his legal career and prepared him for bar admissions and courtroom work in two states.
He entered private practice in the early 2000s and is listed as joining Marks & Harrison in 2002. That position placed him in a firm known for civil litigation in Virginia, and it coincided with his membership in the Virginia State Bar beginning that same year. He also engaged with local bar groups in the Richmond area, holding memberships in the Hopewell and Richmond bar associations between 2002 and 2006. During that period he took on responsibilities in association work, serving as treasurer of the Young Trial Lawyers Section of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association from 2006 to 2007.
In 2010 he is recorded as working for Henningsen Injury Lawyers, P.C., the firm that carries his name. Over the next decade he expanded his practice footprint across state lines. He became a member of the Georgia State Bar in 2007 and joined the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association in 2008. His professional affiliations reflect a practice that spans both Virginia and Georgia court systems.
Henningsen has been active in plaintiff-side trial organizations. He has held long-standing memberships in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. In 2013 he was admitted to the Million Dollar Advocates Forum as a lifetime member, an organization that limits membership by case results. These affiliations indicate ongoing engagement with peers and involvement in litigation-focused professional networks.
Throughout his career he has handled matters typically brought to lawyers whose practices center on injury and accident claims. His work involves case development, litigation, and representation of individuals pursuing civil remedies. He has navigated both state and trial practice environments in Virginia and Georgia and maintained professional memberships that reflect that dual-state practice.
Today he practices through Henningsen Injury Lawyers, P.C., maintaining memberships in the Georgia and Virginia bars and in trial lawyer associations in both states. He practices primarily in personal injury and civil litigation in Georgia and Virginia.
