About Todd Alan

Todd Alan Roseberry earned his law degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1998 after completing undergraduate studies at Eastern Illinois University, where he majored in philosophy and took minors in zoology and chemistry. He finished law school the same year he began affiliating with local and state bar organizations, joining both the Illinois State Bar Association and the McLean County Bar Association in 1998. Those memberships have continued through the present.

He began his legal career as an associate at John Schwulst & Associates in 1998. That early period gave him practical courtroom and client experience. In 2006 he became a partner when the practice reorganized as Schwulst & Roseberry, P.C. The move reflected a shift from junior associate work to running a practice and advising other lawyers on case strategy, client intake and firm management.

Roseberry has balanced courtroom work with other professional roles. In 2012 he served as an instructor on concealed carry law for Double Tap Academy. That teaching role drew on his knowledge of firearms-related regulation and the intersections of state and federal law. Separately, he holds a mediator certification for child custody and visitation from the McLean County Bar Association and the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. That credential qualifies him to sit in on custody disputes as a neutral third party and to help parents work through sensitive arrangements outside of protracted litigation.

He is admitted to practice in Illinois and in the Federal Circuit. Over time his practice has included family law mediation, local court appearances and filings that implicate federal jurisdiction. His professional life shows a mix of courtroom advocacy, dispute resolution and continuing legal education. He has remained active in local legal circles through ongoing membership in the McLean County Bar Association and the statewide Illinois State Bar Association.

Colleagues describe Roseberry as a lawyer who moved steadily from associate to partner while adding roles as mediator and instructor. He has combined practical litigation work with efforts to train other professionals and to provide neutral dispute-resolution services. He continues to practice at Schwulst & Roseberry, P.C., where his work includes family law mediation and matters in Illinois and the Federal Circuit.
