About Tina T
Tina T Tran built her legal foundation at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she earned a J.D. in 2014 and received an Advocacy Certificate. The law school years left her with courtroom experience and an appreciation for procedural detail. She carried that training into practice in Chicago’s courts and agencies.
Early in her career she took on management roles that married supervision and client work. In 2017 she served as Managing Lawyer at Needle & Thread Law, a role that involved overseeing casework and supporting other attorneys. Two years later she moved to a managing position at Upsolve Inc., where she continued in leadership while remaining involved in day-to-day legal matters.
Tran is admitted to practice in Illinois and is also admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Those admissions allow her to appear in both state and federal forums. She is an active member of several professional organizations. Her memberships include the National Lawyers Guild, the American Bar Association, the Cook County Bar Association, and The Lesbian and Gay Bar Association of Chicago. Those affiliations reflect an interest in professional exchange and community connections.
Her work over the years has combined case supervision with direct client representation. She has managed teams and handled filings and hearings. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She focuses on getting procedural steps right so cases move forward efficiently. That practical style has suited both nonprofit and small-firm settings.
Tran’s practice has involved courtroom appearances, motion practice and client counseling. She has worked in environments that emphasize access to legal services for people who might otherwise go without counsel. That experience shaped how she approaches individual client matters and office systems. She has overseen case intake, drafted pleadings and coordinated with other service providers to help clients navigate complex processes.
Away from hearings and filings she remains engaged in professional circles. She attends bar events and participates in discussions about practice trends and policy matters that affect local lawyers and their clients. Her career path traces a steady move into roles that balance leadership and client work.
As of 2026 she continues to work in Chicago-area legal practice, drawing on her litigation and office-management experience. Her current practice focuses on representation in matters handled in Illinois courts and in the Northern District of Illinois.
