About Tina

Tina Javaherian built a professional path through law school clinics, editorial desks and nonprofit work before arriving at private practice. She studied psychology as an undergraduate and moved into law, combining research skills with hands-on client work during her early years. The result is a lawyer comfortable in both detailed analysis and public-facing roles.

Her academic record began at California State University, Los Angeles, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology in 2008. She then attended Pepperdine University School of Law and completed her J.D. in 2012. While at Pepperdine she served as a research assistant for the law school’s Asylum Clinic in 2009 and again in 2010. Those positions involved compiling country-condition research and supporting client interviews for asylum matters handled by students and faculty. In 2011 she worked as a law clerk for the Anti-Defamation League, a role that added exposure to civil-rights and discrimination issues during her legal training.

After graduation she continued to broaden her legal and editorial experience. In 2014 she took on the role of lead editor at The Skribe Magazine. That post allowed her to develop legal writing and editorial judgment, skills she later applied in firm work. She moved into private practice and, in 2019, became a partner at Schuler & Brown. The promotion reflected several years of work at the firm and growing responsibility for client matters.

Colleagues and clients see her as methodical and precise. She draws on the research habits learned in clinic settings and the drafting discipline of magazine editing. The combination supports litigation preparation, memorandum drafting and pleadings, as well as client counseling when factual background requires careful investigation. Her resume shows steady movement from academic research roles to legal practice and firm leadership.

Javaherian is licensed to practice in California. Her career has threaded through nonprofit and editorial environments into a law firm setting, giving her a varied perspective on legal problems. She remains involved in work that relies on detailed factual development and constructive legal writing.

She continues to practice at Schuler & Brown in California. Her current practice draws on her asylum-clinic and civil-rights experience to address litigation and client-advisory matters in the state.
