About Timothy R.
Timothy R. Franklin earned his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2009. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the University of Colorado Denver, completed in 2008. Those academic years set the stage for a career that has stayed largely connected to military and veterans’ legal issues.
Soon after graduation he joined the Colorado bar in 2009 and entered private practice. His early work included an affiliation with Sean Kendall beginning in 2009, followed by a year as an associate at Edwards & Taylor, LLC. In 2011 he became a partner at The Rocky Mountain Law Group, LLC, and two years later returned to work with the Law Office of Sean Kendall as a senior associate.
Alongside private practice, Franklin built a visible role in professional groups that intersect with veterans’ law. He has been a member of the Colorado State Bar since 2009 and joined the Denver Bar Association in 2013. He became active in the Colorado Bar Association’s Military & Veterans Affairs Section in 2014 and serves as that section’s treasurer. He is also a member of the National Organization of Veterans Advocates.
In 2023 he launched Lowry Veterans Law Ltd., where he is listed as company owner. That move shifted him from the associate and partnership roles he held earlier into firm leadership. At Lowry Veterans Law Ltd. he manages day-to-day operations and client matters, and oversees the direction of the practice.
Over the course of his career Franklin has handled matters typical of small firm and veterans-focused practices. He represents clients in benefits claims and administrative appeals, advises on documentation and filings, and engages with the processes that accompany veterans’ claims. His professional memberships reflect ongoing involvement in the community of attorneys who work on military and veterans’ issues.
Franklin remains active in bar work while running his firm. He continues to participate in bar section activities and in national veterans advocacy circles, balancing casework with administrative duties at Lowry Veterans Law Ltd. His current practice concentrates on veterans law and related administrative advocacy.
