About Timothy P.
Timothy P. Robinson completed his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, earning a Bachelor of Science in 2014. He stayed in Louisiana for law school, graduating from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University with a J.D. in 2017. Those years in Baton Rouge shaped his legal education and prepared him for practice in both state and federal arenas.
After law school, Robinson entered private practice and became an associate at Kean Miller LLP. In that role he has worked on matters that require hearings, motions practice and court filings across multiple tribunals. He has built experience in courtroom procedure and in drafting briefs for judges at different levels of the judiciary.
Robinson is admitted to practice in Louisiana and holds admission to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is also admitted in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana. Those admissions allow him to appear for clients in district-level trials and in federal appellate proceedings when matters move beyond the trial courts.
At Kean Miller, Robinson works alongside attorneys who handle a range of disputes. His work has included preparing pleadings, taking and defending depositions, and assisting in trial preparation. He also participates in appellate briefing and oral argument preparation in matters that advance to the Fifth Circuit or to the federal district courts that serve Louisiana.
Robinson maintains memberships in the Louisiana Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. He participates in bar activities and professional development opportunities that are common to early and mid-career lawyers practicing in Louisiana. Colleagues describe him as methodical in research and precise in written work.
Outside the courtroom, his practice requires steady attention to court rules and procedural deadlines in both state and federal systems. That attention to detail underpins the daily work of preparing cases for motion practice, settlement discussions and trial. He currently practices at Kean Miller LLP, where his work centers on litigation in Louisiana and federal courts.
