About Timothy

Timothy Mainella completed both his undergraduate and legal studies in 2024. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Emerson College and a Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire School of Law, finishing his coursework the same year he entered the bar environment. His academic path combined liberal arts and professional training, and it prepared him for immediate entry into private practice in New Hampshire.

Soon after law school, Mainella joined Shaheen & Gordon, P.A. as an associate in 2024. He arrived at the firm at the start of his legal career and moved quickly into day-to-day responsibilities typical for a first-year associate. His role has involved research, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing briefs, and assisting on case strategy under the oversight of senior attorneys. Colleagues describe his approach as methodical and precise, suited to the firm’s practice-driven work.

At the University of New Hampshire School of Law he gained exposure to state and local legal issues through clinics, moot court and coursework. Those experiences informed his early professional duties. He has worked on matters that require attention to procedural detail and a working knowledge of New Hampshire statutes and court rules. In the office he is often tasked with turning complex legal questions into clear written analysis for clients and supervising lawyers.

Mainella’s time at Emerson College left him comfortable with communication-driven tasks. He applies those skills to client interviews, witness preparation and drafting clear, effective memoranda. He pairs that background with the technical training from law school to support litigation and transactional matters handled by his team. He is also involved in the discovery process and the practical preparations that precede depositions and hearings.

Outside of strictly legal duties, Mainella has participated in firm meetings that plan case strategy and allocate resources. He contributes to trial preparation and evidentiary organization. Those responsibilities have given him early exposure to courtroom processes and to the managerial side of practicing law within a regional firm.

He is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and remains based at Shaheen & Gordon’s offices. He currently practices in New Hampshire at Shaheen & Gordon, handling matters that arise under New Hampshire law.
