About Timothy
Timothy Klisz grew up studying ideas and systems. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of Michigan–Dearborn in 1993, after beginning his undergraduate studies in 1988. He went on to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in 1996.
Early in his professional life Klisz became involved in local bar activities. He joined the Michigan Association of Justice as a sustaining member in 1993. Two decades later his peers elected him president of the Livonia Bar Association for the 2013 term. Those roles put him in contact with judges, fellow lawyers and community leaders across suburban Detroit.
Klisz’s career has been centered in Michigan. He is admitted to practice in that state. Over the years he has maintained a local practice model, operating out of multiple offices to meet client needs across the region. He has practice locations listed in Novi and Troy under the Klisz Law Office, PLLC name.
Colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic. He approaches cases one step at a time. He prepares written filings and court appearances with an emphasis on clarity. He has built a practice that aims to resolve disputes efficiently while advising clients about the choices litigation presents. He balances courtroom work with case preparation and client counseling.
Outside litigation and client meetings, Klisz has stayed active in bar association work. Leading the Livonia Bar Association in 2013 required organizing CLE programs, coordinating with local courts, and representing the bar in civic conversations. His long-term sustaining membership in the Michigan Association of Justice reflects ongoing ties to the legal community rather than occasional participation.
Klisz runs his practice from offices in Novi and Troy. He handles matters for individuals and businesses across Michigan courts. He also continues to participate in local bar activities and professional networks. He maintains a practice through Klisz Law Office, PLLC and works from his suburban offices to serve clients across the state.
He practices law in Michigan and maintains his office in Novi and an additional office in Troy, handling client representation in Michigan courts and administrative forums as part of his current practice focus.
