About Timothy

Timothy Belt graduated from Villanova University School of Law in 1996. He trained at a time when the landscape of workplace injury litigation in Pennsylvania was shifting. That education set the stage for a career spent largely inside the state's workers' compensation system.

He began his legal practice at Laputka, Bayless, Ecker & Cohn in 2000. The early years at that firm gave him exposure to claim intake and defense strategies. By 2005 he had moved to Marshall, Denehey, Warner, Coleman and Goggin, where he handled a broader docket and worked alongside litigation teams that covered complex civil and administrative matters. A year later he joined Fendler & Associates, PC and continued to handle cases involving injured employees and employers navigating the administrative process.

In 2011 he opened The Belt Law Office, PC. He is listed as the founding lawyer of the firm and has led its work since then. That move shifted his role from associate to principal. It also placed him in charge of case selection and office operations. Over time, he has concentrated his practice on disputes that arise under Pennsylvania’s workers’ compensation laws, representing clients through hearings, appeals and settlement negotiations.

Belt holds the Workers' Compensation Law Certified Specialist credential awarded by the Pennsylvania Bar Association. That certification identifies lawyers who have pursued additional study and experience in the field. He is a current member of the Pennsylvania State Bar and practices in that jurisdiction. His professional path reflects steady involvement in the state’s administrative and trial processes for workplace injury claims.

Colleagues describe him as steady in the hearing room and attentive to procedural details. He has worked on both claimant and employer matters at different points in his career, giving him perspective on the competing interests that appear in workers’ compensation disputes. He manages filings, prepares witnesses and handles appeals when cases require review beyond the workers’ compensation judge.

He remains based at The Belt Law Office, PC and handles cases across Pennsylvania’s workers’ compensation system. His practice centers on workers' compensation matters in Pennsylvania.
