About Tim

Tim Schellberg earned his Bachelor of Arts from Washington State University in 1988 and completed his J.D. at Seattle University School of Law in 1991. He moved quickly from student to practitioner in Washington state. The two degrees mark the start of a long professional life anchored in the region where he studied.

Early in his career Schellberg entered private practice in Washington. Over the years he built a practice that kept him tied to the state’s courts and business community. He has maintained active ties to the local bar. That connection has been a constant as his own role shifted and deepened.

Schellberg serves as Of Counsel at Gordon Thomas Honeywell LLP. In that capacity he works alongside firm partners and associates on a range of matters, offering counsel based on decades of practice. The title reflects a seasoned lawyer who provides strategic input, helps manage complex files and steps in on litigation and advisory matters when needed.

He is a current member of the Washington State Bar Association. That membership underscores his continuing engagement with the professional standards and networks that govern legal practice in the state. Beyond the bar roll, his work at the firm places him in regular contact with corporate clients, other law firms and local courts.

Colleagues describe Schellberg as a practical presence in the office. He tends to favor straightforward analysis. He gives counsel that aims to clarify options and lay out likely outcomes. Clients see this approach as useful when weighing legal and business choices.

Across cases and transactions, Schellberg has combined courtroom experience and advisory work. He has been involved in both litigation-support roles and transactional matters, stepping into lead or supporting capacities as a case demands. That versatility makes him a familiar figure at Gordon Thomas Honeywell LLP and within the Washington legal community.

He continues to work from the firm’s Washington offices, where he provides counsel and support to the firm’s lawyers and clients. His current practice focuses on serving the legal needs of clients in Washington through advisory work and litigation support.
