About Tim
Tim Greenwood built a legal path that moved steadily from law school classrooms to courtroom work in Wisconsin. He took a traditional route through higher education, earning a Bachelor of Science in history from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh in 2013 and a Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 2018. Those years framed his early interests in public policy and dispute resolution.
Fresh out of law school, Greenwood began working as a family law contract lawyer at MacGillis Wiemer LLC in 2018. He handled contract assignments that gave him frequent exposure to client intake, drafting pleadings and assisting at hearings. The position offered repeated chances to test themes he had studied in law school—procedure, negotiation and the mechanics of family court practice.
In 2019 Greenwood joined LaRowe Gerlach Taggart LLP as an associate. There he expanded his courtroom experience and began carrying files from intake through resolution. His time at LaRowe Gerlach Taggart involved steady casework and collaboration with senior attorneys. Tasks ranged from discovery management to settlement conferences and court appearances.
By 2021 he moved to Taggart Law LLC as an associate lawyer. That move kept him in Wisconsin practice and deepened his involvement in family law matters. Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who prepares carefully for hearings and prefers clear, direct communication with clients. He has handled contested hearings, temporary orders and negotiated resolutions that aim to reduce the time families spend in litigation.
Greenwood remains active in professional circles and holds current membership in at least one legal association. He is licensed to practice in Wisconsin and concentrates his day-to-day work on matters that commonly arise in family court. His practice emphasizes case management and client counseling, balancing courtroom advocacy with efforts to resolve disputes outside of trial when possible.
Outside the office he has kept ties to his Wisconsin roots and to issues that affect families in the state. He continues to refine practical courtroom skills and the work flows that help clients move through difficult transitions. Currently he practices in Wisconsin at Taggart Law LLC, where his practice focuses on family law matters.
