About Tiffany Ballenger
Tiffany Ballenger Floyd trained as a lawyer in San Francisco and southern California. She earned a J.D. from the University of San Francisco in 2007 and completed a B.A. in Global Socioeconomics and Politics, with a minor in History, at the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2003.
Her career began in 2007 at Hollister & Hollister, where she worked as an associate in estate planning and elder law. The early work was case-driven and often involved older clients and families planning for long-term care and end-of-life issues. Those first years shaped the practical approach she brings to complex family matters.
In 2008 she moved to GF & Associates, continuing in estate planning and asset protection. By 2010 she was at B&L, expanding her practice on issues such as trust drafting, probate administration, and sheltered-asset strategies. Each step added new procedural and courtroom experience, and a deeper familiarity with the statutes and trust instruments used across two states.
In 2013 she became a founding and managing partner of Phillips Ballenger, PLLC | Estate Lawyers. She leads the firm’s work on estate plans, asset protection, and related litigation. Running a small firm has required a mix of client counseling, document drafting, and handling contested probate matters when they arise.
Floyd is admitted to practice in both California and Nevada. She has maintained professional memberships that connect estate planners and transactional attorneys; she has been a member of WealthCounsel since 2007. From 2012 to 2014 she served as a Homeowner’s Lawyer Representative on the Nevada Foreclosure Mediation Advisory Committee for the Supreme Court of Nevada. She also performed pro bono work for the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada from 2018 through 2022. Outside the law, she completed Transformative Coaching Essentials training through McLaren Coaching.
Her practice centers on estate planning, elder law matters, probate administration, and asset protection strategies. She approaches client work in a practical, document-oriented way. She drafts wills, trusts and related documents, advises on tax-aware transfers, and represents clients in trust and probate disputes when necessary.
