About Tiffany A.

Tiffany A. Harris earned her law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1999. She entered practice at a time when Oregon’s legal landscape was changing, and her career has moved between private firms and public defense work. Those early years set the tone for a practice concerned with criminal litigation and courtroom work.

Her first recorded position after law school was as an associate at Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt PC in 2002. At the firm she worked on matters typical for a midsize Pacific Northwest practice, gaining experience in litigation and client counseling. The stint provided a foundation in civil procedure and firm practice management that she would later draw on in both public and private roles.

In 2007 she joined the Metropolitan Public Defender as a staff lawyer. That role placed her inside Oregon’s public defense system, handling criminal cases for clients who could not afford private counsel. The work required courtroom appearances, case preparation and collaboration with investigators and social service providers. It also gave her sustained exposure to trial practice and time-sensitive case handling.

Following her time in public defense, Harris returned to private practice. She now practices under the name Tiffany A. Harris, Lawyer at Law. In that setting she represents individuals in state court proceedings and manages the full cycle of criminal cases from arraignment through resolution. Her practice mixes client interviews, pretrial motions and negotiation, and trial work when cases proceed that far.

Harris has been active in professional circles related to criminal defense. She is a current member of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, participating in an organization that offers continuing education and a professional network for trial lawyers across the state. From 2003 to 2013 she served on the Legal Advisory Board of Basic Rights Oregon, contributing to the group’s legal review and policy discussions during a decade of work on civil and civil-rights issues.

Colleagues and clients describe her as steady in court and practical in client consultations. She balances the procedural demands of criminal litigation with the administrative realities of running a small practice. That combination has shaped how she approaches cases and counsel.

Harris is licensed in Oregon and maintains a private practice, where her current work concentrates on criminal defense and related matters in Oregon state courts.
