About Thomas

Thomas Gorman built the foundations of his legal career in Milwaukee. He earned a B.A. in law from Marquette University in 1981 and continued there for a J.D., awarded in 1985. At Marquette University Law School he studied constitutional and criminal law, subjects that would shape the rest of his practice.

After law school he moved into practice and has spent decades working on matters that touch the constitution and criminal statutes. His work has included courtroom appearances and case preparation. He has handled both trial and appellate matters, drawing on the doctrinal training he received in law school and years of practical experience.

Gorman’s practice centers on legal questions that arise at the intersection of individual rights and criminal procedure. He has worked on cases involving constitutional claims, criminal charges, and the procedural issues that can determine outcomes in those matters. He approaches cases through careful review of fact patterns, statutory texts, and precedent. He is known among peers for steady handling of complex legal issues rather than flamboyant courtroom gestures.

Colleagues and clients describe him as thorough and pragmatic. He tends to favor clear, precise work over broad rhetorical flourishes. When preparing for litigation he focuses on building records and preserving issues for appeal when appropriate. Outside the courtroom he has advised clients on risk and compliance concerns that have criminal or constitutional dimensions.

Over the years, Gorman has adapted to changes in criminal law and constitutional doctrine. He has followed developments in search and seizure law, due process, and sentencing rules. The legal landscape has shifted since he finished law school, but his practice has continued to revolve around the same core areas he studied at Marquette.

He now maintains an office in Uptown Sedona. From there he continues to handle criminal and constitutional matters for clients, offering courtroom representation and appellate work as needed.

He currently practices criminal and constitutional law from an office in Uptown Sedona.
