About Thomas Douglas

Thomas "Doug" Allen is a retired attorney who practiced law in Claremont and Ventura, California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1990 and retired in 2021 after 30 years of service. Mr. Allen earned his Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne in 1990, graduating as valedictorian.

Prior to that, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Westmont College in 1974. Throughout his career, Mr. Allen was involved in several notable cases, including Lowry v — Gutierrez, Jacobson v. Gourley, and Baker v.

Gourley. These cases were published in the California Appellate Reports, reflecting his active participation in significant legal matters. In 1992, he became a partner at Allen & Ehrle, Lawyers, where he continued to practice until his retirement in 2021. Mr.

Allen was admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court in 1994, expanding his ability to represent clients in federal appellate courts. He maintained active memberships in the California State Bar and other professional associations throughout his career.
