About Thomas

Thomas Curry came to the law after a four-year course of study in economics. He earned a B.S. in Economics from Clemson University in 2017. He then enrolled at the Charleston School of Law and received his J.D. in 2020. That combination of programs shaped how he approaches legal questions: attentive to numbers, methodical about process, and conscious of practical outcomes.

After law school he sat for the bar and has been a member of the South Carolina Bar since 2020. He lives and practices in South Carolina and has built his practice around serving clients within the state. His early years as a licensed attorney involved courtroom appearances and client counseling, tasks he continued to take on as he established his place in private practice.

Curry's economics background often informs his legal work. He describes complex financial details in plain language for clients. He also uses basic economic concepts to evaluate risk and potential costs when advising about settlements or litigation strategy. That analytical bent steers how he prepares documents, questions witnesses, and frames disputes for judges and opposing counsel.

Colleagues and clients note his straightforward style. He tends to favor clear explanations over legal jargon. He aims to set realistic expectations and to map out steps clients can understand. That clarity can be especially useful in cases where financial facts matter, or where small businesses need help interpreting contracts and obligations.

He practices at Davis Curry Law. There he manages client matters, pursues resolutions through negotiation and, when necessary, brings cases before South Carolina courts. His work is rooted in state rules and procedures, and he keeps current on developments that affect litigation and transactional work in South Carolina.

Outside of the office he maintains ties to the legal community through his membership in the South Carolina Bar. He continues to build experience in state practice and to refine how he translates economic concepts into legal advice. He currently practices at Davis Curry Law, handling matters in South Carolina courts and advising clients on legal issues informed by his economics background.
