About Thomas A. Nash

Thomas A. Nash Jr. earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Georgia School of Law in 1976 after beginning his legal studies in 1973. His legal education at one of the state's established law schools set the foundation for a career that has spanned five decades. He completed his degree at a time when the legal landscape in Georgia was changing, and he has practiced through those shifts.

He was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1976 and remains an active member. He joined the Savannah Bar Association in 1983 and continues that membership today. Over the years he has also affiliated with the Savannah Trial Lawyers Association and serves as an associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Those associations reflect sustained involvement in the trial bar and in local professional life.

Federal admissions expanded his courtroom reach. He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the 5th Circuit, and he is admitted to the bar of the United States Supreme Court. In addition to courtroom practice, he holds certification as a civil mediator from the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and is listed as a civil mediator for matters that proceed to alternative dispute resolution.

His work combines litigation and dispute resolution. Clients and colleagues have encountered him in jury trials, in appellate filings, and in mediated settlements. Membership in trial-focused organizations and a civil mediation credential indicate a practice that spans contested litigation and negotiated outcomes. He has remained engaged with the Savannah legal community while maintaining the federal admissions that permit appearances in higher courts.

Nash continues to practice law in Georgia and remains active in both trial and mediation roles. He maintains his bar memberships and federal admissions and participates in local and national trial organizations. He currently handles civil trial matters and serves as a court-approved civil mediator.
