Theresamarie Mantese took a conventional path into law, completing a bachelor’s degree at the University of Missouri–St. Louis in 1977 and earning her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1980. Her academic years were followed quickly by entry into legal practice. She moved from classroom to courtroom in an era when the profession was still changing shape for women, and she built a steady practice across state and federal venues.
Early in her career Mantese established herself in litigation and regulatory matters. Over time she became active in matters that required appearances beyond state trial courts. She holds admissions in Missouri and Michigan and is authorized to practice in federal courts including the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Eastern District of Michigan.
