About Theodore

Theodore Levy is a trial lawyer whose career blends courtroom experience with academic training in trial advocacy. He came to the bar after studies at Johns Hopkins and Temple, then built a practice that has remained tied to litigation and courtroom work.

He earned a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in 2004. He continued his legal training at Temple University, where he completed a J.D. in 2008. Later he returned to Temple University Beasley School of Law for an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy, a program he attended in 2013 and completed in 2014. Those programs gave him both the book learning and practical trial tools that inform his approach to contested matters.

Levy is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Early in his career he joined Fine and Staud LLC as a partner and trial lawyer in 2011. That role placed him in regular contact with judges, opposing counsel and juries. He has spent much of his professional life preparing cases for trial, taking depositions, arguing pretrial motions and presenting evidence to factfinders.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing witnesses and evidence. He favors careful case assessment and steady courtroom work over publicity. His LL.M. in Trial Advocacy signals a particular interest in the mechanics of trial practice — courtroom presentation, witness examination and trial strategy — rather than transactional law or regulatory matters.

Levy’s work is concentrated in the two states where he is licensed. He handles matters that proceed to trial in state and federal forums in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is equally engaged in the preparation phase: written discovery, motion practice and trial preparation take up much of his schedule. That preparation is designed to make courtroom time more predictable and manageable.

Outside of litigation specifics, he has been involved in mentoring younger lawyers within his firm and in trial preparation teams. He brings an educator’s attention to trial technique, a sensibility reinforced by his LL.M. studies.

As of 2026 he practices at Fine and Staud LLC, where his practice concentrates on trial litigation in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
