About Theodore Briscoe

Theodore Briscoe III earned his J.D. from the William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law in 2013. He completed his legal training at a school known for its emphasis on practical skills and historic campus life. The degree set the stage for a practice built on steady courtroom work and client advising.

After law school, Briscoe moved into private practice. He joined Geoff McDonald & Associates PC, where he has worked on a range of matters. He also maintains active membership in professional associations, attending conferences and committee meetings as part of his professional development.

Briscoe’s day-to-day work is marked by routine tasks that define trial practice: drafting pleadings, preparing witnesses, and arguing motions. He spends long hours preparing for appearances and shorter, intense stretches in court. Colleagues describe him as methodical in the preparation process and persistent when a case moves to trial.

He handles the practical demands of case management and the unpredictability of litigation. That involves client interviews, negotiation sessions, and courtroom advocacy. He balances meticulous document review with time-sensitive courtroom deadlines. The result is a practice oriented around thoroughly prepared representation and responsiveness to client concerns.

Outside of the courtroom, Briscoe contributes to the firm’s case strategy and client communications. He works closely with clients to map out legal options and set realistic expectations. He favors clear explanations over legal jargon. That habit helps clients make informed decisions under pressure.

Over the years he has navigated both routine and complex matters, learning to prioritize the issues that most affect client outcomes. He keeps current on developments through continuing legal education and association activities. That ongoing study informs how he approaches evolving procedural and evidentiary questions.

He currently practices at Geoff McDonald & Associates PC, where his work is centered on client representation and litigation support.
