About Ted
Ted Little trained in two different academic traditions before arriving at the law. He earned a B.A. in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis in 2016. He then turned to law and received his J.D. from the University of Michigan in 2020.
He began his legal career at one of the country’s large firms. In 2020 he joined Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP as an associate. The following year he moved to Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he continued work as an associate and gained further exposure to the demands of major firm practice.
During those years he handled the kinds of projects young associates typically do at national firms. He worked on matter teams, drafted memoranda and briefs, and participated in client calls and internal strategy sessions. The assignments gave him practical courtroom and transactional experience and a familiarity with the procedures of New York practice.
In 2023 he launched his own practice, founding Ted Little Law and operating through the office name Ted Little, PLLC. The move to a solo practice followed a brief but concentrated period in large firm settings. It also coincided with his membership in the New York City Bar Association, which he joined that same year.
He is admitted to practice in New York and appears on the New York State Unified Court System roster as Admitted Lawyer number 5901988. That credential underpins the work he now does for individual and institutional clients, and it governs his appearances in state courts and related forums.
Colleagues describe his approach as methodical. He takes written preparation seriously and aims for clear, direct legal writing. He has experience adapting work product from firm contexts to a smaller practice model, where clients expect concise advice and efficient service.
Outside the office he keeps ties to the legal community through bar association membership. He continues to maintain the professional contacts he developed at Weil and Kirkland while building a practice of his own.
He now practices through Ted Little Law and maintains an office under the name Ted Little, PLLC, handling matters in New York.
