About Tara M.
Tara M. Gore trained at the University of North Carolina. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2014 after studying journalism and Peace, War & Defense at UNC–Chapel Hill. She returned to Chapel Hill for law school and received her J.D. in 2017 from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
While in law school she served as a student lawyer in the UNC Law Immigration Clinic in 2016. There she worked under faculty supervision and took part in client representation and case preparation. The clinic experience exposed her to courtroom procedures and administrative advocacy tied to immigration matters.
After graduation she joined William C. Gore, Jr. PLLC as an associate in 2017. She has practiced at that firm since then, handling matters for clients in the region. Her work at the firm has involved courtroom appearances and case management typical of a small law practice, and she has continued to build practical experience in North Carolina courts.
Gore maintains memberships in a range of professional organizations. She is an active member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and the American Bar Association. Locally, she belongs to the Columbus County Bar Association and the 13th Judicial District of North Carolina Bar Association. Since 2018 she has been involved with Coastal Women Lawyers, a group that connects attorneys in the region.
Colleagues describe her as steady and detail-oriented. She approaches files methodically and places an emphasis on clear communication with clients. Her background in journalism informs how she prepares written materials and conducts factual development. The immigration clinic and early years at a private firm gave her exposure to both public-interest and private-practice modes of representation.
Gore is licensed in North Carolina and continues to practice law in the state. She divides her time between client work, case preparation, and bar association involvement. She practices at William C. Gore, Jr. PLLC and represents clients in matters in North Carolina.
