About Tanner

Tanner Maybury entered the legal profession after completing his Juris Doctor at Widener University Commonwealth Law School in 2022. He finished a demanding course of study during a moment of change in the legal landscape. The degree set the stage for a quick transition from classroom to practice.

He is licensed to practice in New Jersey and moved into private practice soon after graduation. Maybury joined Stark & Stark, bringing recent academic training into a firm environment that serves a range of clients across the state. He has taken on responsibilities typical of early-career attorneys at a full-service firm, while steadily expanding his practical experience.

Maybury’s work centers on core lawyering tasks. He conducts legal research and prepares memoranda. He drafts pleadings, transactional documents, and client correspondence. He meets with clients to understand their needs and to explain legal options in straightforward terms. Those tasks form the day-to-day of his practice and inform how he prioritizes assignments and manages deadlines.

Colleagues describe him as attentive to detail and methodical in his approach. He applies classroom training to real-world problems, translating theory into procedure and documentation. His practice benefits from frequent collaboration with more senior attorneys at the firm, and he has contributed to team efforts on matters that require coordinated legal strategy and careful case preparation.

Since earning his J.D., Maybury has also remained engaged with the local professional community. He maintains memberships in professional organizations that connect newer lawyers to mentors and resources. Those affiliations have provided opportunities to attend continuing legal education programs and to participate in discussions about changes to state law.

Outside of casework, he has shown an interest in sharpening practical skills through in-house projects and task forces at the firm. He has participated in internal training and in client intake processes that clarify how the firm serves different types of clients. This hands-on activity complements his formal legal education and supports his development as a practicing attorney.

He continues to work at Stark & Stark in New Jersey, handling matters on behalf of individual and business clients and concentrating on sound legal drafting, client counseling, and thorough case preparation.
