About Tamara
Tamara Jordan trained first as a student of ideas and institutions. She earned a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from the State University of New York at Binghamton. She went on to receive her J.D. from Northeastern University. Those academic steps set the groundwork for a legal career rooted in urban housing issues and courtroom practice.
After law school she established herself in New York. She is licensed to practice in the State of New York and built a practice in New York City focused on landlord-tenant matters. Over time she organized that work under her own firm, The Law Office of Tamara I. Jordan P.L.L.C., where she handles cases arising in housing court and related forums.
Jordan’s work centers on disputes between residential landlords and tenants in the city. She brings courtroom experience to routine case management and contested hearings. Her clients come from a range of housing contexts in New York City, and she has handled matters that require familiarity with local housing law and procedures. In day-to-day practice she balances litigation tasks and client counseling, often moving between filings, negotiations, and appearances in court.
Today she operates out of The Law Office of Tamara I. Jordan P.L.L.C. in New York City. Her practice continues to address landlord and tenant concerns and the procedural work they entail. She remains active in the field of New York landlord-tenant law and focuses her practice on those matters in the city.
