Tai Christopher Bogan is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2006. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Bogan is the principal attorney at The Bogan Law Firm, APC, a law firm located at 615 13th Street, Suite A, Modesto, California. He practices law in the jurisdictions of California and the United States District Courts for both the Northern and Eastern Districts of California.
Mr. Bogan earned his Juris Doctor degree from Humphreys College, Lawrence Drivon School of Law, graduating in 2005. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of the Pacific, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with an emphasis in Rhetoric in 1998. During his time at the University of the Pacific, he served as the Captain of the Debate Society, demonstrating his strong communication skills.
Mr. Bogan's practice areas include criminal defense, personal injury, and civil litigation. He has represented clients in various criminal cases, including felonies, misdemeanors, restraining orders, DMV hearings, and serious trials. His civil litigation experience encompasses personal injury cases, such as car accidents, semi-truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, bicycle accidents, dog bites, boating accidents, wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and loss of limb cases. He has handled cases at all stages of litigation, including hearings, trials, and appeals.
Throughout his career, Mr. Bogan has handled numerous cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Stanislaus, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, and the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He has served as lead counsel in over 500 contested proceedings, including high-stakes jury trials involving violent crimes, gang charges, and complex allegations. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as a Public Defender in San Joaquin County from 2006 to 2012 and as a Business Services Consultant for the Stanislaus Economic Development and Workforce Alliance from 1999 to 2006.
Mr. Bogan is an active member of several professional organizations, including the California State Bar, the Stanislaus County Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the California Public Defenders Association, the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, the Modesto Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau. He has been recognized for his excellence in criminal defense, earning selections to Super Lawyers from 2019 to 2025 and holding an AV Preeminent® rating by Martindale-Hubbell® since 2020. He is fluent in English and serves clients throughout the Central Valley and Northern California.
