About Sydney J. St.

Sydney J. St. Pierre started her academic path at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, where she studied psychology and earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2019. That early study of behavior and decision-making proved a steady foundation for law school. She returned to LSU for legal training, completing a J.D./D.C.L. at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2021.

Her time in law school coincided with the formative years of her legal education. The dual-degree program at the Hebert Law Center exposed her to both common law practice and civil law traditions as found in Louisiana. The program also placed her close to federal courthouses and state trial work, practical settings where many new attorneys sharpen courtroom instincts and research skills.

After passing the bar, St. Pierre joined Kean Miller LLP as an associate. She is admitted to practice in Louisiana and in the federal courts that cover the state — the U.S. District Court for the Western, Eastern, and Middle Districts of Louisiana — and she is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Those admissions allow her to file and argue matters in both trial and appellate venues across the region.

St. Pierre belongs to several professional organizations that reflect the mix of her practice. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. Her memberships also include the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, the Federal Bar Association’s New Orleans Chapter, and the 22nd Judicial District Court Bar Association. These groups offer networking and continuing legal education opportunities that feed into daily casework.

Colleagues describe her as steady and thorough in preparing filings and courtroom materials. She handles the procedural and substantive tasks that associate attorneys commonly manage in civil litigation. Her background in psychology continues to inform how she assesses witness testimony and organizes case narratives.

St. Pierre is based at Kean Miller LLP, where she practices in state and federal courts across Louisiana and in the Fifth Circuit. She currently practices as an associate at Kean Miller LLP, handling civil litigation matters in Louisiana and in federal courts.
