About Suzanne

Suzanne Begnoche is a consumer law attorney based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Duke University and her Juris Doctor with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law. Before establishing her own practice in 2008, she served as a staff attorney at Legal Aid of North Carolina, Inc., providing free legal representation to low-income individuals. Admitted to practice in all North Carolina state courts, Suzanne is also authorized to appear before the federal courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of North Carolina, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. The tribal courts of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Her practice focuses on consumer law, including cases involving credit reporting errors, collection harassment, identity theft, and privacy violations due to security breaches.

Suzanne is an active member of several professional organizations. She is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the Orange County Bar Association. She has served as chair of the Consumer Areas of Practice section for the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and was a founding member of the North Carolina State Bar Association’s Privacy & Data Security section. In addition to her legal practice, Suzanne has contributed to the legal community through speaking engagements at national conferences and participation in pro bono activities. She regularly speaks at national legal conferences and participates in pro bono activities in the local community. Prior to her legal career, Suzanne worked as a project manager at several technology companies in the Research Triangle Park area and taught technical writing and composition courses at Penn State University.
